The story of CCSIS

The story of Calamba City Science Integrated School started in 2010 as an Annex School for Special Science and Math Curriculum of Calamba Bayside National High School (CBNHS). Quality learning then took place in the borrowed classrooms at Real Elementary School. Mr. Ernesto Lindo, the then CBNHS Principal, deployed the late Mrs. Rizalina D. Panghulan, who was then a Master Teacher, as the first designated officer-in-charge. With her, top caliber teachers from the different departments served as pioneer mentors of the first batch of young scholars. On March 1, 2013, through the initiative of the Local School Board under the leadership of the former May or, Joaquin M. Chipeco, Jr., and the late Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Myrna P. Pamplona, the school was transferred to its home location at Chipeco Avenue by the virtue of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Resolution No. 225, recognizing Calamba Bayside National High School Annex as an

Independent High School and to be known as Calamba City Science High School (CalSci). This endeavored to provide relevant quality education to young Calambeños who are envisioned to meet the technological, industrial, environmental, and cultural demands of a highly developing city and of the world. With the support of the Department of Education and City Government of Calamba, and through the partnership with external stakeholders, improvement in basic education services and procurement of learning tools and equipment become evident. In 2016, a stand-alone senior high school named Calamba City Senior High School (CalSen) was established within the school’s vicinity. This introduced the STEM and TVL-Mechatronics Servicing programs which catered most of the CalSci’s pioneer Grade 10 completers since the school then could not offer SHS programs due to institutional typology and other factors. But, as years went by, the merging of these two performing schools was approved on February 15, 2021, by virtue of the authority of the DepEd CALABARZON and pursuant to Calamba City Resolution No. 384, s. 2020. The school was then known as Calamba City Science Integrated School (CCSIS).In CCSIS, quality teaching and learning are ensured. Faculty and administrative staff are all highly commendable and competent enough in uplifting the knowledge, skills and values of their learners. It aims to mold students who are ready for higher education and employment. To realize such, the school serves as the training ground in capacity building and values orientation for students to be competitive and ready for life.CalSci promotes well-balanced curriculum as it engages students to extracurricular activities to gain practical knowledge, interpersonal communicative competence, and sense of camaraderie.For more than a decade of existence, CalSci proves its best through research projects, outstanding alumni, scholastic recognitions, and awards received from the different academic and non-academic competitions not just in the division, regional, and national levels, but also in the international arena.As the prime mover of excellence and compassion, CalSci intensively prepares its students to confidently face the real world. Faculty, administrative staff, and stakeholders collaborate in implementing programs and projects to capacitate the learners with the required competencies in industries and institutions they will be in in the future.
